Project overview

The EATRIS-CONNECT project drives cross-border collaboration to accelerate the adoption and integration of digital technologies across the European Research Infrastructure (RI) landscape. By bringing together research infrastructures from multiple sectors, the project fosters interdisciplinary cooperation and explores how joint efforts can unlock new opportunities for digital innovation, with a strong focus on AI-enabled technologies.

At its core, EATRIS-CONNECT supports the digital transformation of EATRIS, strengthening its capacity to operate as a modern, digitally enabled research infrastructure. The project brings together all 14 national EATRIS nodes, creating a coordinated platform that aligns strategic national priorities and promotes shared digital development across the network.

Through targeted capacity-building and collaboration, EATRIS-CONNECT also empowers widening nodes to enhance their digital expertise and capabilities. By strengthening digital competencies across the entire infrastructure, the project contributes to the long-term sustainability, resilience, and innovation potential of EATRIS within the European research ecosystem.

Project partners

EATRIS-CONNECT Consortium includes 21 partners – the national nodes of the research infrastructure, and academic representatives of new prospective member countries.

Digital Hub

The EATRIS-CONNECT Digital Hub is one of the main outputs of the EATRIS-CONNECT project. The Digital Hub is a web-based, generative AI-powered conversational platform designed to accelerate translational research by providing access to self-service resources and curated best practices for integrating AI into clinical workflows.
