INFRAACT is committed to making its website usable by the widest possible audience, including people who use assistive technologies.

Our approach

We aim to improve the website in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time design task.

Measures taken

  • A clear heading structure and consistent page navigation.
  • Responsive layouts that adapt to desktop and mobile screens.
  • Readable typography, spacing and colour contrast.
  • Descriptive link text rather than unexplained URLs.
  • Keyboard-accessible navigation provided by the WordPress theme.
  • Alternative text for informative images where images are used.
  • No automatic playback of audio or video.
  • Regular checks when pages or navigation are updated.

Current status and known limitations

The redesigned website has been reviewed during development on desktop and mobile layouts, but it has not yet undergone an independent formal accessibility audit. We therefore do not claim full conformance at this stage.

Some third-party content, including the embedded YouTube player and content on external websites, is outside INFRAACT’s direct control. Older documents, videos or materials linked from the site may not yet provide every accessibility feature, such as a complete transcript or fully structured document format.

Reporting an accessibility problem

We welcome reports of barriers, including problems with keyboard navigation, contrast, text alternatives, document structure, video access or screen-reader compatibility. Contact the INFRAACT coordination team at r.konakchieva@biofac.uni-sofia.bg.

We will review the issue and aim to provide a reasonable response or alternative route to the requested information.

Review of this statement

This statement will be reviewed as the website develops, after significant design or content changes, and when accessibility testing identifies areas for improvement.
